Audio Research valve amplifier at HIFI2020: "a genius mixture of both rebellion and restraint"

HIFI2020 will be featuring the spectacular Audio Research REF160M 140W stereo power amp (pictured top), coming to the show with Synergy Audio-Visual, who is pairing it with gorgeous Sonus faber speakers. The Audio Research powerhorse uses four KT150 output valves and two 6H30 driver valves, and has been hailed around the world as one of the greatest amplifiers ever built: “A genius mix of both rebellion and restraint”, said Ken Kessler in the UK’s Hi-Fi News, “I suffer no hesitation in judging it one of the finest amplifiers I have ever heard, regardless of price.”

It’s always a treat to get up close and personal with VIVID AUDIO’s curvaceous loudspeakers, and for HIFI2020 Avation will be bringing Vivid’s latest KAYA 45 design, a direct descendant of Vivid’s famed GIYA loudspeakers, sharing much of the same technology along with design input from the legendary Laurence Dickie, whose work includes the equally legendary Nautilus design for B&W. HIFI2020 will play host to a world-first demonstration – a full specification DTS:X Pro 30.2 immersive home cinema!

Leaders in commercial and home cinema speaker systems Krix will partner with Trinnov Audio to put on a show of epic proportions
 – demonstrating the dramatic improvement a high speaker count can have on spatial resolution and realism.

You'll be right in the middle of the action
 – hear musical instruments fill the room, birds fly overhead, and cars crash around you, in one of the biggest spatial audio demonstrations of its type, ever.
